Intellegent and so sublime, a great mix of tunes to listen to in any situation, waking up with 'hollow human beings,' on the bus to 'be your own,' sneaking a listen to 'overexpose' in the office or classroom, and then partying to 'Fear the Labour.'
It got soul, energy and humanism.
Buy this album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is some of the best hip-hop I have ever heard! A must buy. Uniquely mixed, electro kicks, and superb vocals.

Perhaps recorded on purpose, both the CD and digital downloads has "vinyl noise" on every track. Obviously sounding like it was recorded straight off a vinyl record, I think this over-emphasized element detracts from the music.

All in all, One Self made a great album here and I look forward to more of their music.

I recommend you listen to this fantastic album. Beautifully spacious and inventive programming by DJ Vadim weaving around thoughtful, politically aware and at times consciousness expanding lyrics. Even if you don't think you like hiphop give this a try - Blackbird is the uplifting single, but don't miss Don't Fear the Labour. These guys are so good - you owe it a listen.
