Unusual selections--not greatest hits (no "Bang a Gong," no "Jeepster"), but lots of great riffs. The liner notes are not extensive and don't explain anything about why these songs were chosen, but it's definitely a peculiar mixture of hits and oddities. And I have to say that disc 2 is pretty weak. But disc 1 has been in nonstop rotation in my car for a couple of months now. "Telegram Sam," "Cadillac," "Thunderwing," and "Buick McKane" sound as fresh as if they'd been recorded yesterday. Play 'em loud and marvel at how far ahead of his time Marc Bolan was.
