About the Author
Jonathan Fesmire can't remember a time when he wasn't making up fantastic stories. Even in grade school, he spent much of his class time daydreaming. Now, he puts those mental machinations to good use by writing fantasy. His short stories have appeared in Marion Zimmer Bradley's Fantasy Magazine, SpaceWays Weekly, Jackhammer, and elsewhere. His serialized novel, Dreams of the High Mage, is appearing monthly in The Wandering Troll. He lives near the beach with his daughter, his fiancée, and her three children.
"Sometimes people ask me how I came up with the concept of duals," says Fesmire, "and the truth is, I don't know exactly. I had an idea for a story and wondered what it would be like if the two main characters were joined. That thought popped out of nowhere, though I think I was sort of set up for it. Twins run in my father's side of the family, my rising sign is Gemini... well, make your own conclusions. I think the cosmic energy was just there."
