Book Description

In a world obsessed with perfection all those with genetic flaws are
removed from existence. Not through death but through Erasure. Mike
Bishop began training as an Eraser when he was a very young boy, and
began his career at the age of 16. He hunted down "imperfects" and
removed them from existence with great skill. No one received mercy,
men, women, children, and infants all fell beneath him. But after
witnessing the erasure of his own family Mike became a champion, a
savior for those imperfects known as the Outlaw Children.
In a small valley they found refuge and began to live their lives but
peace would elude them as word of their existence reached the
leadership of the Perfects. It would come down to war and Mike was
ready to die for the people he once hunted and now loved.

Editorial Reviews

In "Outlaw Children: Sacrifice and Redemption" Marilyn Thompson has spun a very believable story. I am generally not fan of of futuristic drama, but she hooked me from the first chapter. I could not put it down! Her characters were vividly real and I found myself rooting for the Outlaw Children to survive.

Mind Fog Reviews

Outlaw Children:  Sacrifice and Redemption" by Marilyn Thompson is definitely considered a Science Fiction. Her vivid imagination has you being sympathetic with the outlaw children of this story.  A futuristic world is hard to write about because it has to have a believable plot which Ms. Thompson has achieved.  Her plot is greatly detailed and can be followed however technical it may be.  The characters are well defined and you can find empathy and dismay about them all.  I enjoyed this novel from the Prologue and the very first chapter and find that anyone interested in futuristic science fiction about our world will be hooked instantaneously from the first chapter on.  Your empathetic and sympathetic heart strings will be twanged by the outlaw children.

5.0 out of 5 stars PURE & RAW OUTSTANDING WRITING July 21, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It's hard for me to describe how good this book is! It's a little terminator, planet of the apes, I-Robot, and more! When I first started reading I was like okay this is pretty good than all of sudden Bam it's like WoW! My favorite parts are the Alpha Males and the Alpha Bitches and their caves! The descriptive words flow fluidly and unadulterated. This book is a pleasant surprise! I highly recommend this and Marilyn's other books.

I really enjoyed reading this book and waiting for what would come next. If things keep going like they are the story may not be as far in the future as we think. Excellent reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Story! July 24, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Intriguing and captivating from the very first page! Don't let the beginning details stop you from plunging into the world created by Marilyn Thompson throughout this book and its sequel. This is a fascinating futuristic/sci-fi tale that introduces a world where genetic perfection is enforced by law. It is about those who choose to accept and seek out personal uniqueness and a life of purpose, in defiance of the laws and those who enforce them. It is a study on human character as well as a great story. It combines spirituality and technology in a way that forces the characters to carefully evaluate their values and decisions. Most of all, it is a great tale of conflict, adventure, and survival. Well worth the read!

2.0 out of 5 stars What's new about this? May 29, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
There's nothing new about this topic, at all.

After all, the Old Testament forbids that anyone who is either handicapped or deformed from entering the Temple on pain of death.

And then in II Samuel (chapter 5 if I recall correctly), King David offers to pay a bounty to anyone who kills any handicapped or disabled person who they catch attempting to enter the Temple.

The attempt to eliminate whoever belongs to the contemporary "out" group has a long and bloody and sordid history.

More About the Author

Having been moved I have decided that every cent from the sale of my books will go to helping those who are in need. Every book you purchase whether it be kindle or hardcover will be a donation to the poor.
Although I do not have everything I want I do have everything I need and that is enough. There are so very many people in the world who have nothing and I wish to help as many as I can. I will not use the donations as a tax write off but will post a copy of the receipt I receive so that everyone will know where the donations went. God Bless
Devoted to my faith, my family and my country. I write because I am a reader first and enjoy bringing stories and characters to life. I grew up reading everything I could get my hands on. I love a story that takes the reader beyond the pages of the book and that is how I try to write. I want the reader to feel as if the characters are personal friends and feel true emotions for what the character is going through. Although I am not in the top 100 it doesnt matter to me, I am not writing for the money I am writing for the reader, who is after all the most important player in a published work.
