4.0 out of 5 stars An inspiration reborn, June 5, 2009
This review is from: Children Of The Second Birth: What We Used to Be Like, What Happened, and What We Are Like Now (Paperback)
I would like to thank Tuchy Palmieri and Healing-habits.com for finding and republishing Children of the Second Birth by S. M Shoemaker Jr. Since Mr. Shoemaker had originally written and compiled this book it had gone out of print and without this republishing would not be readily available for us to read today. Children of the Second Birth is a collection of 18 testimonials/ histories of how ordinary people have been transformed by bringing Christ into their lives. It also shows us how these changed lives affect and change others lives. Many of these people were good church going people to start out with but had not received the fullness of giving themselves to Christ. The book is easy to read and for those with short time spans available for reading each chapter is a complete story unto itself. Although the book was written back in the 1920's the stories are still relevant and touching today. I hope many more will read and be inspired by this book for years to come.

4.0 out of 5 stars very inspirational book, January 21, 2011
This review is from: Children Of The Second Birth: What We Used to Be Like, What Happened, and What We Are Like Now (Paperback)
Carl Tuchy Palmieri has republished a wonderful book of inspiring stories. The stories are based on people looking for something in their lives but are not quite sure what it is, until "it" happens. They are born again in Christ and suddenly things make more sense. The stories are very uplifting, and give the reader a sense of hope that things can get better, and that God will never burden you with more than you can handle. I found this book very inspiring and recommend it to anyone who needs a feel good book to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Renews your Faith, January 16, 2011
This review is from: Children Of The Second Birth: What We Used to Be Like, What Happened, and What We Are Like Now (Paperback)
Children of the 2nd birth is a very nice collection of 18 previously published stories that are guaranteed to uplift your spirit. The Author (Palmieri) took an out of print book by (Shoemaker) and proved that it's just as relevant almost 100 years later as it was the day it was first published. An inspirational collection that will restore your faith in God.

5.0 out of 5 stars Uplifting and Relevant, January 16, 2011
This review is from: Children Of The Second Birth: What We Used to Be Like, What Happened, and What We Are Like Now (Paperback)
Tuchy Palmieri has impressed me yet again by publishing another uplifting and spiritually relevant book. I found Children Of The Second Birth to be a very enjoyable and uplifting reading experience. The stories shared are just as relevant today as they were when they were first published in the 1920's. Many may feel that this book is not relevant in today's chaotic world, but it provides the reader with a sense of what they may be missing by not having a relationship with God. I know it has caused me to re-evaluate the importance of having religion in my life and how it will help improve my relationships with others.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for spiritual help. It will make you realize what you are missing without God in your life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inapirational, January 16, 2011
This review is from: Children Of The Second Birth: What We Used to Be Like, What Happened, and What We Are Like Now (Paperback)
In Children Of The Second Birth: What We Used To Be Like, What Happened, and What We Are Like Now, Mr. Palmieri has reintroduced a book that many may have never read and may have remained overlooked. This is a very inspirational read and it deserves to be noticed again. First published in the 1920's, it may seem irrelevant in our life today, but the message it provides has proven to stand the test of time. This book will help you realize how important it is to have a relationship with God and what your life has been missing without it.

Anyone who has read any of Mr. Palmieri's other published works will not be disappointed with this one. It will lift your spirit and help you see how important it is to have faith. I am very grateful that Mr. Palmieri is republishing these older books, many may not see the relevance in such an older book, but the faith is timeless. I hope that he continues to bring these books to our attention, I enjoy reading them.

By
This review is from: Children Of The Second Birth: What We Used to Be Like, What Happened, and What We Are Like Now (Paperback)
It is amazing to read that there are 3 stages in Christian life, which is past (what we used to be), present (what we are now) and future (what we will be). God worked on our past to bring to the present and prepare us for the future to get in the rapture and rule with HIM. This book talks about the born again experience which every christian need to know.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspired book to know your past and future, January 12, 2011
This review is from: Children Of The Second Birth: What We Used to Be Like, What Happened, and What We Are Like Now (Paperback)
This book has amazingly shown us that only a born again experience can get closer to GOD. If we are still in our old self, we can never understand GOD. This book went to the depth of the second birth which is very important to know God's plan and to understand how can work in you.
