The Magic Potion for What Ails your Kid,
By Babs Brooklyn (Brooklyn, New York) - See all my reviews
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Children's Advil Ibuprofen Fever Reducer/Pain Reliever Oral Suspension, Blue Raspberry, 4-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 3) (Health and Beauty)
I was brand loyal to Motrin and was using this for years for my kids. Then the recall, and all my local pharmacies had were generic Ibuprofen. I live in Brooklyn, one of the largest urban cities in the US, and I could only get generic.
So I gave my kids the generic stuff. In grape, in bubble gum, in every flavor. My kids are very discerning when it comes to meds, and it was like a Broadway production getting them to try something other than the Grape Motrin that they were used to. Even with Motrin, they barely tolerated it. Then I stumbled across Advil in Blue Raspberry. My daughter tried it. And EUREKA! It was a winner. Everything from the color, to the taste to the consistency. And yes, it works to cure what ails you. Now my 4 year old, who has to be coddled and bribed to take meds, was totally intrigued after seeing his big sister take this mysterious blue potion. Next time he was with a fever, he agreed to take the Advil. Another happy camper. We are now an Advil family. After success with the first bottle, I bought the three pack on Amazon. It just arrived. Three fresh shrink wrapped boxes all with an expiry date of August 2013 -- three full years away. And the price was great.

A Most Excellent Product!,

I've been using this stuff forever, it seems like. The taste, however, is just incredible, almost like eating candy, which is why the kids go crazy for it. Plus, I LOVE that it works up to 8 hours which is pertinent for kids sleeping through the night pain or fever free. Fabulous product, one of those that I buy the name brand only, highly, highly recommend!

~*~*~YUMMY, buy a 3 pack if you have twins or more~*~*~,
This review is from: Children's Advil Ibuprofen Fever Reducer/Pain Reliever Oral Suspension, Blue Raspberry, 4-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 3) (Health and Beauty)
As long as you can buy a 3 pack and the expiration is not less than a year as I have read on some other reviews, if you have twins or more, you should definately buy the 3 pack.
My twins are prone to ear infections and almost every time one of them gets an ear infection, they both get an ear infection. And EVERY time one of them is sick the other always gets sick. It really stinks when you are up in the middle of the night and realize that once again you have run out!! One night one of my daughters had a fever 103.7, this was just a couple hours after I had given her Tylenol when her temp was 101. We called her Pediatrician, told them her weigh & age(6 months at the time) and the Tylenol we'd given her. She told us to give her Childrens Advil and exactly what dose to give her and also to give her a luke warm bath. My husband ran to a local store that was open 24hrs. My daughter resisted the medicine at first as she always does but once she realized the taste, she LOVED it. After her bath & Advil her fever finally went down. Anytime my daughters get sick, they tend to spike really high fevers. Even before they are allowed their next dose of medicine they start getting a high fever with Tylenol or Advil. Our Pediatrician told us that you can switch back and forth between Advil & Tylenol every 3-4 hours if they are getting a fever between doses. One of my twins KNOWS what this is and she loves the taste. If I am giving it to her sister she gets mad and tries to take it(she is 11 months old) I have also tasted it myself and it tastes wonderful...so like all medication, Keep out of reach of children!! ****ONLY ever give your baby Tylenol or Advil AFTER you have spoken to your Pediatrician.
