Great game! Our family loves any version of the Authors playing cards. We have learned while having fun! The kids have read many books that they wouldn't have if it weren't for knowing about them from the game.

Growing up many years ago, our favorite game was "Authors". It was fun & though we didn't realize it at the time, we learned a great deal about famous authors & what they wrote. Years before I took a literature class, I knew four works of William Shakespeare & many others & found it interesting when I studied their works in later years. Now some very wise manufacturer saw the potential in expanding the whole idea of a learning card game & we and our children/grandchildren can learn while we enjoy the game...of famous childrens' authors. In this day with so much mindless activity going on, it's delightful to once again "communicate" with one another during a fun game...and learn something of value.

This great family game is fun & can be enjoyed by people of all ages. There are also other similar card games on the market now which are equally interesting for all, inexpensive & fun to play TOGETHER.

Interesting that educators are now stating college grads are skilled in computers but brain dead in social skills & communication interaction.

I used this card game (and others in the series) with gifted children in school. It teaches them listening, logic and famous authors of children's books. I love this game and so did all of my students.

Authors is a classic family game we've enjoyed for years. We only recently discovered the variations on the original game. This one is fun because of the facts about the authors on the bottoms of the cards.

These cards were not what I expected. I wanted some more modern authors to be included in this deck, and more of a variety. I consider them just OK.
