From School Library Journal
PreSchool-Grade 7-From the full-color cover, to the many interior glossy photographs of children in various yoga positions, this book is appealing to the eye. It is also full of educational recreational activities that combine two things children love-animals and movement. Younger children will especially enjoy imitating the positions and shapes of the various animals, plants, and objects that appear in the large photographs throughout the volume. Beginning with the easiest exercises and progressing to the more difficult, the instructions and descriptions are brief but clear. The physical benefits of the poses are stated and the few positions not recommended for children under six are noted. Various ethnic groups and boys and girls are shown practicing. Both children and adults will appreciate this treasure. Luby makes exercising seem like fun.Barb Lawler, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, PA
