5.0 out of 5 stars A Divine Translation!
I have a Master's Degree in Theology and have been disappointed with many children's bibles for various reasons: too simple, too detailed, skewed in perspective, and so forth. 3.0 out of 5 stars Good, basic, not too deep
This book is good but just covers the basics. It doesn't go too deep into anything. I would recommend this for ages 4 and under to establish the basics of the Bible. But older than 5 can handle much more information.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Divine Translation!, June 18, 2003
I have a Master's Degree in Theology and have been disappointed with many children's bibles for various reasons: too simple, too detailed, skewed in perspective, and so forth. This bible is so thoughtful, comprehensive and well written that even an adult reader will get much out of it! It is beautifully and delightfully illustrated as well. I checked this book out of the library for my kids (2 and 6) and found myself enjoying it in my own devotional times! I am now here to purchase this book for our family and for a gift. A friend of mine has a German copy of it that she recently bought while in Germany so more languages might be available as well.

This book has fit well into our training system. We read it right after dinner and it takes about 3 minutes to read and we talk about it for 3-5 minutes. The level is a little bit above my 3 and 4 year old's head so I simplify the language a little as I read. I won't have to do that very long though. The kids like the illustrations. We have been very happy with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great way to end the day., December 23, 2003
By A Customer
My daughter (who turns 5 in 3 months) enjoys hearing the stories every evening before bed. I have found it is a great way to teach her about her religion and God. Children are innately curious and love to learn. The stories touch on so many subjects and helps children to understand the lessons. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Children's Bible, October 17, 2008
Children's Everyday BibleI give this book to my Sunday school children at Kindergarten age. It is theologically correct and written for a calendar year so that a small story or part of the biblical story may be read everyday. The illustrations are bright and beautiful and show people of color. It is not a cartoonish illustration. It is one of the best that I have seen!

5.0 out of 5 stars really good bible, May 31, 2007
i checked out about 15 different kids bibles from the library and this one was a winner. i really like how they didn't just include the "more" important stories of the bible, like many of the others did. i was very impressed when i looked through it and saw the story of cain and able. upon getting it home we read the story of abraham and his son (which i had never heard before). great book for anyone to get a good grip on the bible. i made sure we purchased this one. and my kids (7 and 5)enjoy "church" at home with this book.

This Bible is wonderful for those children just starting to read or for those whose parents read to them. Our church gives it to the second graders for their first communion gift.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great kids Bible, May 31, 2008

My kids love this Bible. The stories are short and accessible for kids of all ages. The pictures are good too, not at all scary. It is easy enough to find any Bible story that you are looking for.

5.0 out of 5 stars Childrens bible, May 26, 2007

This book is wonderful for the children and as an adult I have often found it very enjoyable to read it myself. The easy wording and pictures make it easier for me to understand the scriptures and make it easier for me to have a background of the story when I read the adult bible. I use this book daily for my studies and have shared it with my husband who also enjoys this childrens version. So if you want something to enjoy for yourself and your children this makes a great bible edition. You can learn so much from this book in a short time like the names of the people in the bible and some of the great stories.

I was looking for something that a seven year old would enjoy reading. A lot of bibles are either too young or too hard. This was perfect. She loves it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for children & adults., March 23, 2009
The advantages of this book are: 1.It tells the most popular & well known stories from the bible in chronological order (fewer contradictions & less jumping around ). 2.Each day's reading takes less than 30 seconds. 3.The stories are a pleasure to read.

The book is for grade school kids but adults can enjoy reading it also.
