Great Overview of the 20th century,

A Chronological, colorful treatment of the 20th Century. Each year gets a 2-4 page spread, with excellent photography from the world events. After each 6-8 pages of yearly happenings, they give a 2 page spread on important events/developments/trends, such as: Trench Warfare, The Russian Revolution, Movies of the Fifties, War in Vietnam, Sounds of the Seventies, The Information Age. A monthly timeline at the bottom has 3 rows containing blurbs for each month covering: World Events, Entertainment, Innovations. Typical DK, loaded with lots of info, including helpful labels on photos and original art or illustrations from the times. Good overview resource for history of the 20th Century. |
