The bed is designed base on only one sheet of plywood or MDF board and you can build it in a few days using a simple tool. All materials are available in any local home center. Once it built the bed can easily be disassembled for transportation. The bed meets all consumer product safety commission guidelines. Overall dimensions: 42.625"W x 82"L x 20.5"H. Note: This item is for woodworking plans (instructions) how to build the bed on the picture only. Wood, hardware and other materials to build it are NOT included.

Yes, these plans are very detailed for building the entire bed. But the description claims it is giving you the plans for the bed and yet you are the one that has to "draw" the whole side of the bed yourself. The plan they give you is only 15 inches. I was expecting a blueprint that I could literally place on the wood and cut out. NO. Do not expect that. They give you a grid and expect you to draw it yourself. I am now looking for a Fed-Ex Kinkos with a large enough machine to print this out at 5 times the size. And yet the detailed step by step directions tell you that every 1/16 that you are off, the whole bed will be off. And they expect perfection from your own hand drawn picture?? Shame on this seller! If I hadn't promised my little boy the Batman Bed I would have given up.

The plans were easy to understand and while we haven't built this yet, i'm very satisfied with their simplicity and layout. Also, these arrived within just a couple days. Due to the holiday season i didn't think that would happen, but it did!
