Sorry, folks. The picture makes this helmet (and I hesitate to call it that) look more substantial than it is. I am used to fiberglass or at least hard rubber helmets from the likes of Don Post. This is a weak vacuum-formed mask (it's not even half as strong as a blister pack). It is made up of two halves that overlap each other. One half is clear with white paint on it. The two halves are held together by several velcro dots around the perimeter. The size is too small for anyone but a small child. Incluing shipping this was over $12. For me, I would say that it wasn't worth the shipping. If you have a small child who wants to play astronaut, it might be a good thing. It will break pretty easily though, so be careful. At least it looks more like a space helmet than the others that are available. If it had been made of more substantial stuff (polycarbonate perhaps) and/or been a bit bigger, I would've given it more stars. As it is, I feel I wasted my money.

Have to say I was a little dissapointed when I received the helmet. It doesn't look like the one advertised in the picture and it is not hard plastic, more like cheap flimsy plastic. My son still loves playing with it, but he's four...doen't know quality yet:)

The helmet is made out of plastic and can easily be broken. However, for the price and the limited time it will be used, it was perfect for the occasion. Delivery method was fast and efficient.

This helmet was very basic... no adjustments, nothing to keep it on the head straight. Feels very fragile. Perhaps if it came with a head-liner and some basic strapping or elastic to keep it sitting properly on the head, but it's really just a shell and requires some creativity to make it useful to play with.

I had no idea what to expect from this order. When received it was immediately clear this was not a hard, durable product but a very thin plastic halloween costume, very thin and pliable. It comes in two parts (front/back) and has small velcro tabs along the right to left over the top to hold it together.

This helmet looks good in the online picture, but is a very cheap "costume" helmet. It is made of cheap plastic and the two pieces velcro together. It is pretty small, too. It did not even touch my son's shoulders when it was on his head. No wonder it was so inexpensive. I would not recommend this for a dress up toy. If you just want a cheap helmet for a Halloween costume, though, this might work for you.

I love this helmet. Yes, it is very flimsy - but for $[...] it was a much cheaper option than $[...], which is what the sturdier model costs. I like the way that it splits in two halves that are held together by velcro, it makes it easy to get on and off. It will work for as long as we need it. It is called a CHILD'S helmet - would not fit an adult.

We had purchased the costume at NASA when we went, but we didn't like the VERY expensive helmet they sold there. I had thought about making one, but that didn't work.

I found this helmet at Amazon and couldn't pass up the cost. Yes, the shipping was the same or more than the helmet, but I would have paid more for just the helmet at other places. Many of the reviews I read talked about the helmet as being very flimsy. There are only 3 velcro dots to hold the pieces together. My 6 year old is pretty hard on things, so I bought more strips in case we needed them.

He won first place in the costume contest with this helmet!!! (I did not need the extra velcro and it hasn't come apart unless we took it apart.) For the low price, this is really a BEST VALUE helmet. Hope your kid enjoys it as much as ours does.

Un casco muy bonito y barato. Frágil para los niños, ya que es de plástico muy delgado y fácilmente se abolla o rompe; sin embargo me parece que por el precio es una muy buena opción.
