This is really a fun book that contains a happy lesson about caring and sharing. It reminds me of the books that I grew up on as a kid, like Winnie the Pooh. The characters are warm, and the illustrations are fantastic. The book also teaches about responsibility, and the joy of demonstrating kindness towards those less fortunate. It's great on the iPad with the Kindle app, and even on the iPhone. For $1.99, and the ability to download it instantly, it's a no-brainer. I know this will be a classic favorite of many kids in the future.
Everything my children love in their favorite books- engaging storyline, thought-provoking relationships between characters, and beautiful illustrations are found in this wonderful publication. The artistry alone is incredible. As a parent, the most pleasing part of this book is the delicate delivery of moral responsibility we all have in some way to help others when and where we have the ability to do so- whether they be friends, family or someone we may not even know. Have already ordered extra copies for my nieces!
It's not very often a story comes along that both entertains and instructs our children. This story is a wonderful example of teaching good values to children and bringing them into a charming fairy-tale world, simultaneously. The illustrations are magnificent and I'm sure all of the children in my life will cherish this story for years to come. This book is sure to be a classic!
Do you remember when you were a kid, and the pictures in a book made you want to look at it again and again? As I thumbed through this little book, I became more and more impressed. The story is delightful, and the illustrations are captivating. I fell in love with it, as the words went wonderfully with each page's drawing. THEN I read it to my grandchildren, who are 7 and 9. After I read it to them, they wanted to keep the book at their house because they loved it so much.
By the end of the book, it has touched your heartstrings. It is as sweet as can be, without being gushy. It leaves the little reader with inspiration, and a clear illustration of how wonderful it can be to help others. This truly deserves to be sold for years and years, and be read from one generation to the next.
This is a beautifully written and illustrated book that teaches the importance of friendship and caring for one another. No matter if you're 1 or 100, everyone can learn something from the morals taught in this book.
The discussion questions at the end of the book are well thought out and provide for further application of the values taught in the story.
The artwork looks amazing both color and in black and white (I own an original Kindle and the pictures look wonderful on it despite the lack of color).
What a wonderful book for the art of giving for children. My granddaughters love this book so much that I have to read it over and over to them. I recommend this book as a must have. We can't wait for the next one to come out.
This is a wonderful story to share with children. It teaches about the value of helping and demonstrates that all important concept of thinking of others in a fun, concrete, easy-to-understand way. My six-year old niece loved the book, especially the illustrations! I really appreciated the inclusion of the talking points at the end of the book. I'm anxiously awaiting further books from this author - and so is my niece!
This is a great book for kids and grandkids. The pages are laminated so they won't get soiled or torn. The illustrations are really exceptional. The book teaches kids that helping others is a very good thing.Tiger and Mouse: The Gift of Helping Others (Volume 1) Grandma Karen
Tiger and Mouse: The Gift of Helping Others has a wonderful story that should be read and re-read to children of all ages. The illustrations are perfect and superbly done. I have read this to my youngest granddaughter, and it is the first thing she asks me to do when I come over. Right now she likes the pictures more than the words, but I'm sure the meaning of the story is sinking in. I can't wait for the next volume to come out!
The story was a great story with a very important message about sharing and caring. It even had suggestions about how to get your children thinking about how they can and do help others. Very important life lesson.
