5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful by design, October 16, 2011
I've been buying this Wall Calendar (and its companion Engagement Calendar) since I discovered it several years ago. Highlighting work by youngsters in the Aldea Children's Art Program (Napa, CA), it brings together a wonderful array of artworks: from Magic Day by Tyler, age seven; to Skeleton Castle by Oscar, age eleven; to The Unusual One by Jessica, age seventeen. They use materials ranging from painted clay and watercolors to oil pastels and acryllics. But most of all, under the guiding hand of Art Therapist Al Friedman, the art throughout is colorful, imaginative, and captivating. A number of collaborative projects--Racing Home and Dinner Party--round out the presentation. Add to that a clean, readable layout and you have a Wall Calendar with abundant charm. In sum, delightful by design!
