5.0 out of 5 stars My Son's favorite!
I bought this guitar for my 22 month old thinking that it was a toy. He was obsessed with banging on his father's full sized one, and we needed a quick fix/ diversion so that he wouldn't ruin it. This one was the perfect size for him, and the price couldn't be beat. We were all pleasantly surprised when we found out that it wasn't cheapy at all, but a fully functional...

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible quality, don't waste your money
Should have been tipped off by the very low price of the guitar. From the time we took it out and tried to tune it (tighten strings) it didn't work. Within the first 5 minutes that my toddler played with it the strings came loose and came off, complete waste

It is easy to tune with a small screwdriver. My son takes it everywhere now! A mut have for future rick stars!

3.0 out of 5 stars Remember, this is a toy, October 4, 2007

We bought this guitar as a gift for a 5-year-old that loves pretending to play music. Great looking guitar, and sounds okay once tuned. Remember that this is a toy and be careful when tuning. One of the strings popped while the child's father was tuning. The string hit the child's arm, which really hurt. The father replaced the string and is much more careful now with tuning.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better Than Expected, July 14, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 23" Childrens Toy White Acoustic Guitar:String Instrument
I bought this item knowing that the price was likely a sign that the item wasn't well constructed. I was pleasantly surprised when the items arrived, as they are actually very nice. Now I wouldn't expect to buy this item and go perform with it. Tuning is tricky as the string are very small and the tuner knobs are delicate and cheap so they go out of tune relatively quickly. For the price of the item this is completely understandable. Works as a great starter item for my young nephew and is just a cool little item. At the price, I suppose it could even be used as a decoration that looks good, while not breaking the bank. All in all I am very impressed with the item and my nephew just loves it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not a good toy!!!!, May 3, 2010

I bought this for my daughter's 4th birthday. My husband plays the guitar and she loves to try and play his. She asked for her own and we thought this would be great for her to just play around with.. Within a few days of giving it to her the strings were already coming off and you can't tighten them....Needless to say it hasn't been a month yet and only one string remains!!!! I now know why it was so inexpensive... Don't waste your money!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Frets Are Not Tuned Correctly, December 16, 2007
This review is from: 23" Childrens Toy White Acoustic Guitar:String Instrument
After finally tightening down the tuning lugs in the back to keep the strings in tune when open, it became apparent that the frets are in the wrong place. So going up each fret is not quite a half step. You have to go to the 13th fret to get an octave (mornally 12th fret). What this means for non-musicians is that even if the guitar is in tune, as soon as you put the finger of your left hand on the frets to play higher notes, they will always be out of tune and dissonant. There is no way to fix this.
Therefore, this ends up being just a toy. A cute toy it is. Just don't plan on playing real guitar music on it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Cheaply built. Wall hanger only..., December 12, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

I bought this thinking I could use it to teach my granddaughter how to play guitar. It's a toy only, incapable of being tuned. I affixed it to the wall in my recording studio and it suits that purpose nicely. Then I bought a playable guitar at, of course, a much higher cost.

1.0 out of 5 stars Broke within minutes, December 30, 2010
This review is from: 23" Childrens Toy White Acoustic Guitar:String Instrument
I guess the low price should have tipped me off, but the guitar is very poor quality and ALL the strings broke within minutes of my son playing with it. Don't waste your money-- better off spending more on a better quality guitar elsewhere.
