Poor Quality Plans,

I have just finished constructing this bed for my son using maple plywood/hardwood instead of the pine it calls for. I have to say, if you are even remotely uncomfortable with finished carpentry or cabinet making then I recommend not using these plans or at least have a knowledgeable friend assist you.
These plans are riddled with spelling errors, very inaccurate material lists, a few measurements that don't work and even two unintentional end results for a section of the headboard. The written instructions are often confusing, not detailed enough for specific items and over detailed for others. It was a challenge to understand. I am sure the 'designer' is a competent craftsman, but he/she should stay away from putting it into writing. Overall, the bed I made looks great and professional with this design, but what a headache. I give it a 6 out of 10. |
