By Daisy S- HALL OF FAME - TOP 10 REVIEW - ERVINE VOICE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"This is one of the BEST children's books I have ever read. It teaches quite the lesson in how to get rid of the DIZZY'S (negative thoughts). The pictures are colorful, easy to see even in a smaller Kindle! Parents this book is one that you will enjoy reading to your children and even enjoy it yourself. For me, it touched my heart and I really loved reading this book!"

A motivational bedtime picture story for children ages 3-8

"...Then suddenly David thinks he can hear,
A strange little voice whisper into his ear:
“It’s me Bizzzzzzzy Dizzzzzzy!” that voice says to him
“Don’t run the race. There’s no way you'll win!”
So David decides that today he won’t run,
He watches his friends.
And he misses the fun…"

This motivational bedtime rhyming picture book for kids ages 3-8, tells the tale of Miss Young's class and their unexpected visitors: Busy Dizzies. Or, in other words, the strange little negative voice that sometimes comes near and whispers into your ear…
A fun to read children's rhyming picture book that is suitable as a read aloud book for kindergarten and preschoolers or as a self-read book for beginning and early readers.

":A must for all children and parents, preschool teachers, therapists and coaches ..."

5.0 out of 5 stars This is genius March 23, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
This book I cannot praise highly enough. The message in this book, of being aware of our thoughts and our choices, is so very vital. This is not coming from JUST a prek teacher of ten years who spent 7 prior in daycare settings, this is from a spiritual seeker who values messages like this across the board . CHILDREN NEED THIS. Please buy this book, discuss it and implement it. The world will change.
BLess you to the author and to all who read this high level , truth telling story that illustrates how life works. Brilliant!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hey busy dizzy, get out of my ear! January 20, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Busy Dizzies are those voices that tell us that we can't do something, so why even try. They're the voices that fill people with self doubt and steal their confidence. In "Busy Dizzy," the author illustrates the effects of busy dizzies, using three youngsters as examples: David, Sophie, and Joe. The kids are ambitious enough, but the busy dizzies create so much doubt or distress in their minds that they're virtually incapable of any action. Fortunately their schoolteacher, Miss Young, recognizes the problem and sets the kids about doing an exercise that will banish the busy dizzies from their minds.

The "busy dizzies" affect grown-ups as well as their kids. The self doubt that can creep into one's mind and create the fear of failure or fear of embarrassment can lead to inaction and inability to cope with life's problems. In the story, Miss Young uses a lighthearted but effective approach to teach the kids to recognize the busy dizzies and drive them away.

The story deals with a real issue that affects almost everyone at times, but especially children who are in their formative years and are just learning the skills they will need to be successful and happy in life.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Negative One On Your Shoulder January 13, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
*The person who is giving negative votes to all who review this book is doing a disservice to the author.**

Do you have one of those voices that sit on your shoulder and whisper only negative things in your ear? The voice tells you that you don't matter because you are shy or not good at sports or you won't win, no matter how hard you try. This is the book for you and for your children.

Dr. Orly Katz writes books for early childhood. In Israel she is well known for her dedication to children and their education. In this book she has begun a conversation that we can all relate. How do we overcome our fears that we are not good enough. Do we sit and wait to feel smarter, do we try harder, or do we try to remove those negative feelings? 'Busy Dizzy' is one of those voices that we encounter as a small child, they tell us to cry when we are sad instead of expressing our fears. Dr. Katz tells us about three children, Sophie, David and Joe who all faced their demons with the aid of their teacher, Miss Young.

This book is such a wonderful choice for all children. Do we talk with our children about how to face their fears. This book will open discussions for parents and children, grandparents and aunts and uncles. It is a wonderful, vehicle for teachers at school to open the topic, so that everyone can express their fears and come up with solutions to face them. Every family should own this book and read it often.

Highly Recommended. 01-13-14

5.0 out of 5 stars "Hey Busy Dizzy , You Don't Belong Here" January 12, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This author wrote an uplifting and delightful bedtime story not just for preschoolers but that everyone can relate to in their lives..It's those little negative, worry voices whispering in our ears telling us we can't do things..That's what this story is about teaching children coping skills....The illustrations are adorable, bright and colorful..The entire story rhymes perfectly all the way to the song at the end...Which will engage and hold your child's attention...

The story is about David, Sophie and Joe who go to school and want play in a race, doesn't want to cry and answer questions but little Busy Dizzies are all whispering to them in class that they shouldn't do things because they will fail...It's children's insecurities starting at a young age...The teacher Ms. Young recognizes the problem right away and uses a fun technique that the author incorporates at the end of the book so your child can tell you what Busy Dizzy is bothering them too..Great teaching skills for parent and child relationship....Highly recommend this book especially if your child is a worrier....

5.0 out of 5 stars Exceptional Teaching Aid February 13, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
Busy Dizzy is a lovely educational book for children in the 4-8 range. It will help them to recognize those negative feelings that rise up inside of them that tell them they aren’t good enough, or that they will be laughed at, or not to try because they will lose, or any other negative thing that we sometimes tell ourselves. Dr. Katz helps children

understand that they are not alone. Every child, and every adult too, has feelings like these and through this lovely rhyming story gives the child and parent a strategy for dealing with these feelings to deal with them and overcome them.

Busy Dizzy is written in delightful rhyming style, perfect for holding the attention of young children. The pages are brightly coloured, with interesting, colourful pictures.

The text is simple enough that as children begin to read, they will be able to read some of the text on their own with help from mom or dad. There is a song to sing to the Busy Dizzies to send them on their way which will help for practicing reading and as a pleasant way to divert the child’s mind from the negative thoughts troubling the child.

Included in the back of the book are some pages for the child to draw and name their Busy Dizzies as well as a couple of pages for parents with a few reminders of how to help your children deal with those negative thoughts.

I thought this book was an exceptional teaching aid for helping young children deal with those negative thoughts that get in the way of the child engaging in an activity he/she would like to participate in. I liked particularly that it empowers the child to do something about the situation such as naming the Busy Dizzy and then saying good bye to it and sending it away.
