More About the Author

Thank you for showing an interest in my author page!

It's never easy writing about ourselves, but here are a few things that can help you to get to know me. Well, at least a little...

I am a Israeli, single mother of one lovely daughter who is my biggest and most loving mirror and teacher. The challenges we both face on our shared journey inspire me to constantly learn and evolve. Writing children's books is one of the treasures I found on that path.

In general - I love engaging in a creative activity, either by doing it myself, or by loosing myself in someone else's great work: I love books, especially children's' books, fantasy and romance. I also love movies, although going to the movies is a bit more challenging these days... I enjoy cooking, preferably new recipes that catch my eye, and I find joy and peace in coloring mandalas.

My books are created with love, something I hope you and your children can feel when reading them. I try to write books that I would enjoy reading myself. Through the process of writing my first book I realized that I prefer stories written in rhymes, and reconfirmed my understanding of how important the illustrations are in telling the story. So I worked really hard on both these things, both alone and with the help of other talented artists.

If you enjoy my books, I would appreciate a supporting review. It's always nice to get a good feedback on something we've worked hard on, isn't it?

With love and gratitude,
Keren

Like many youngsters, Mia was afraid of the dark when she went to bed, often running to her parents' bed instead. Mia's mother, attempting to help Mia get over her fears, sang a song to Mia about overcoming her fear by finding courage in her heart. One night, Mia dreamed about a magical place called Cloud City, where she had the chance to help someone else overcome their own fears. Remembering her mother's song, Mia's courage grows as she succeeds in rescuing some lost creatures in the city and earning their gratitude. Lesson learned, Mia returns from her dream to find that her own fears of the dark were needless.

The rhyming story is very well written, with colorful illustrations that complement the story nicely. It's excellent bedtime reading for kids who fear the dark and can't get to sleep.

Keren Yadid delivers a heartwarming story that not only educates and inspires discussions from curious children about their fears, but an intriguing story that entertains, from beginning to end. I read this story to a 6 year old, and he was anxious to talk about his fears. In addition, the colorful photos are breathtaking, and inviting.

Mia is a little girl, who experiences a common fear among her age group of being afraid of the dark, when night falls upon her. Sweet Mia, who is an adorable character, talks about her fear to her mother, who helps Mia overcome her fear of the dark and the shadows she sees on her wall. Mia's mom teaches her daughter a fun song to sing that motivates Mia to face her fear, and inspires her to develop courage. Mia finds her strength through this encouraging song, after she has a dream of the pretty Cloud City, where she rescues baby dinos, and brings them safely back to their worried mother.

Instead of running away, Mia faced her fear as her courage began to grow, more-and-more. She realized her fear was only inside of her as her mother told her, and the shadows she saw at night was simply her cat under her bed, playing with a toy.

When night had fallen once again, Mia remembers how she sang her song to the baby dinos, while escorting them back to safety. She began to sing once again, but didn't have to finish her song as her fear began to disappear. This charming story, told in fun-filled rhyming verse, inspires and entertains throughout. Highly recommended to parents, teachers, and child-care providers!

This has got to be one of the most extraordinary bedtime books for children ages 3 to 8 ever! The book is colorful, eye catching, and well illustrated. The little girl named Mia on the front cover absolutely caught my eye from the first time I saw the book. Her beautiful eyes and bright red hair captivates readers and the creativity and style of the way the book is written is quite amazing. The book is exciting without a boring moment.

The book tells a clear story with rhyming words to help children understand and learn better. The story even sends a message to parents that may be reading to their children. Facing fears is something that we all have done at least once in our life. The book teaches courage and definitely focuses on how obstacles can be overcome through the mind of a child. The book would make a great gift idea and is something that I highly recommend purchasing.

Keren's imagination is superb. The story is just beautiful. I love reading rhyming stories and this one is very well written. I really love the illustration of Mia, especially as she has the same hair colour as my little girl.
Her favourite bit was when Mia finds the courage to look under her bed and the surprise she finds there!
A fantastic bedtime story that I would highly recommend.

This bedtime story creates a wonderful imaginative world where all our childrens fears can go away....The entire story rhymes, including the mothers song "Quest For Courage" which as long as Mia remembers she will find power in her heart...Mia fears the dark shadows and creeky noises at night instead of running off to Moms bedroom she falls asleep....In hert sweet dream she will fly off to "Cloud City" where there she will make new friends and help some special fight their fears...Will Mia remember Mom's song just in time to give everyone courage.......

This book will definitely hold your childs attention with the adorable illustrations....The special song is like a sweet Lullaby....Just beautiful.....

This is the perfect book for a child who is just starting to be worried about what's in the closet, under the bed, or around the corner. When you're tiny the whole world can look like a scary place.

Keren Yadid does a phenomenal job in this charming little story about Mia, a little ginger girl who is afraid and worried about life. The story is in rhyme so it flows from your tongue as you read it to little ones- it's also a great way for little ones to relate words to sounds when they are just starting to read on their own- It's a quick read that will leave your little one feeling like they are not alone in the world because they are afraid.

Sometimes all a child needs is to see the courage in one of their peers. This story will make you smile and you'll be happy to read a positive story about courage and strength to your children.
