Material is thin and susceptible to rips and tears.

We used the bag ONE time and it ripped, after the flight to FL we went to retrieve the gate check bag only to find the seams coming apart/ripped.
Heather
This bag is great to keep your normal stroller clean and it would protect it from its normal wear and tear.

I had to write this review after I saw that the last couple of reviews had been pretty bad for this product given that I believe the contrary.

First some context: I am a father of two and owner of 3 strollers and 3 car seats. I travel with my wife and daughters between 3-4 times a year. I have purchase other bags for the purpose of covering my strollers and car seats in the past but have now settled with this "gate check" bag.

As parents know, traveling with small children requires patience and a lot of stuff. Having something that protects your stuff is key if you want to use it more than once. For that reason I have purchased a bag for each of my strollers and car seat that I used when traveling on a plane. It is cleared to me that if you don't use a bag your stuff will get damage or dirty easily.

If you have an expensive stroller or car seat and want to keep it intact you probably need to buy the brand's hard bag. No need to lie here. This bag is great for its intended purpose but it is still made from normal threads so if you want bullet-proof material, don't think that this one will stand to your expectations.

This bag is great to keep your normal stroller clean and it would protect it from its normal wear and tear. It won't protect it from a clumsy or awful bag taker. The only way you are going to be saved from those people is having a hard bag but that it is impossible when you are gate checking. In others words this is as good as you get for gate checking bags.

In terms of fitting well, check the right size for your stroller and car seat. There is a bag for each purpose. I have purchased the umbrella stroller size and it fit perfectly for my Uppa Baby stroller.

You know when the Gate attendants thinks it is a good idea . . . it is.

1. it is bright red, you'll see it in the sea of gate check stuff.
2. it keeps your stroller clean - my red bag is very dirty after 2 vacations, and 2 lend outs.
3. it make is easier to carry your folded up stroller*
4. you can stuff other stuff in it that you don't "need" on the plane - like jackets.
5. it is great to use to store your stroller when you aren't using it.

* Note: We found that getting the stroller all packages up outside of the gate was easier . . . doing in on a runway or by the plane is just annoying, makes you all sweaty and hard w/ a baby/toddler.

Turn it inside out and line the seams with duct tape to help prevent tears.
Also keep the plastic case it comes in because trying to fold it up back into the self contained zip pouch is nearly impossible. Much easier to roll it up and stuff it back into the plastic case.
Fits umbrella stroller with plenty of room to spare.

This is a great idea, as these bags fold up nicely into a small, zippered pouch for storage in your carry on luggage while not on the plane. It definitely protected our stroller and baby seat (with the other gate check bag for baby seats) from getting dirty in the cargo hold. The downside is that the fabric tears very easily, and both of our bags got several tears in them after 3 or 4 flights.

I purchased two of these bags for a trip. I bought one for my chicco umbrella stroller and another for my pack n play. My pack n play comes with a bag as most do now but I wanted the added protection. Anway...they survived but I'm not sure how many more trips I will be able to use them for as the seams have ripped in a few areas. When I checked our bags i had the fragile tags put on them as well. They do fold up nicely in the little bag attached. Depending on how much you travel you may want to invest in something a little more durable but if it's a once a year trip you'll probably be fine.

Bag is good for the price. Yes, it's not as durable as other more expensive bags but you get what you pay for. We use it for gate checking, so it doesn't get mishandled or worn as much as if we would check it in as an additional bag. Note: does NOT fit the Chicco Liteway umbrella stroller.

It protected the stroller, but the bag itself was ripped open after one trip (with 4 flights). I reviewed the car seat bag the same way and I recommend trying to tape up the bottom or corners beforehand or somehow reinforce the bag because the luggage people will drag it and it isn't built for it.

We purchased this bag to gate check our very light weight umbrella stroller. When we picked our stroller up after the 1st short flight (We had 3 to get to our final destination), there was a huge tear along the seam of the bag and a hole at the bottom. After our 2nd flight, it was much worse, and by the time we got to our final destination, the bag was useless. We were glad our stroller was covered, as the bag did protect it from getting dirty, (but we could have done that for free with a trash bag).

I wish we'd spent a little more and gotten a nicer stroller bag that will last. I can not recommend this product.
