To know before buying

- the jaw spacing is one inch
- the jaw is designed to grip flat, not curved, surfaces
- the attachment point is a loop, not a hook


To know after buying:

- pushing the button on the side restricts the jaw opening to a half-inch

This arm definitely clamps on to the newer 4 and 1 Sleigh cribs however, the arm is so short that the mobile(including the little animals) are literally laying on the crib mattress. This turned out to be useless after all.

I bought this for the Manhattan toy pictures mobile for our baby's playard because many mobiles need some kind of hole to attach to like in between crib slats. Playards do not have any holes so this attachment clamp came in really handy, I just clamped it on the side and it even clamps to her portable swing; it comes off and attaches easily.

I made a mobile for my new baby and needed the "arm" to attach it to her crib. When I ordered this I assumed it would look like all the attachment clamps that come with store-bought mobiles, but it's FAR shorter and really not tall enough to hang anything safely down over the crib. It may work for someone who has something very short to hang, but anything resmbling a standard mobile will hang too low into the crib if suspended from this product.

I was really dissappointed because this is the only product of this type that I found when I searched, so I think I'm out of luck!

This clamp made the mobile way too low in the crib. I can see how it could possibly work when you lower the mattress position, but cannot work at all when the child is an infant in the highest crib setting. Returned it the same day and hung the mobile from the ceiling.

This mobil arm was sturdy and of good quality but way too short! All the animals hung down and touched the changing table. I was unable to use it and was disappointed.

This is a large arm that appears to be very sturdy and well made.

The end of the arm where the mobile attaches has a closed loop. Our other mobile arm has a hook.

If your mobile has a hook, this is the arm for you. If your Mobile has a closed loop as ours does, this arm is useless. We returned ours.

I have a convertible crib and cannot find a mobile that will attach to it. This product clips on the side just fine but is too short to be useful. Even if I altered the mobile that I was planning on attaching it would be within the reach of the baby. I sent it back. The only way you could use this product would be if you lowered the crib mattress and bent down further to pick up your baby...not a good trade in my opinion.

Good arm for mobiles, however it doesn't come with the music box that rotates or cross-bars. I made my own mobiles with high contrast infant photos and had to make my own cross-bars. I still haven't purchased a music box to rotate my creation, you can't get one on Amazon anyways so it's expensive to get all the pieces for a DIYer.

I purchased to use with my husband's 1980s crib mobile for our daughter's nursery. I was dissapointed with how low it hung to the crib. This one is just too dangerous to use long term. I do like that it makes the old mobile look updated and new though. Feels safe and secure attached to crib.
