Excellent content, but beware the ads!
Excellent material from across the history of Julia Child's career. But beware the ads at the start of the disk that can't be skipped or fast-forwarded through.

Forced to Watch Commercials!
After you pay for this DVD you are FORCED (no way to bypass them) about 1.5 minutes of commercials for things like OXO, All-Clad and so on. Ridiculous! If you paid for it you paid for it. The rest of it is tiny clips from her old shows interspersed with fairly obvious comments from people of today like Martha "Jailbird" Stewart, Alice Waters, and so...

This Julia Dvd is a combo of film clips from her many years on TV and also personal interviews with herself and some of her coleagues, along with a few demonstrations of her more familiar recipes. There is great fun seeing her interact with other Food Greats such as Graham Kerr, Jacques Pepin and others over the course of some 40 years.
If you are a true Julia Fan- then is a "must see" DVD -both for it's history of rare film clips and especially for it's entertainment.

Wow - just went to see Julia Child's kitchen in the Smithsonian (very interesting, BTW) and paid $25 for this same DVD in Museum gift shop!!! Buy it from Amazon instead!
