The music on this CD is beautiful and has a calming effect on children as well as adults. The arrangements are simple, and they have a very gentle quality. The multicultural selections make it a step above the average lullaby CD. It is a wonderful addition to your collection!

Great CD. Borrowed from the library and will now buy. Every song is listenable, and my toddler falls asleep every time! I keep the CD playing after he falls asleep because I like it too. Not a bad song in the bunch, and I like the lyrics and "diversity" sentiment, as well as the tunes.

I work with toddlers up to age 4 at a home childcare center, and we use this album for nap time. One little girl asks for the CD every day when the kids lay down; she always asks us to "put on my favourite", referring to this album in particular. The lullabies have a very soothing, calming effect on the children and sometimes they even sing along (although they're supposed to be sleeping!). All of the instrumentals are beautifully recorded, we love the variety of instruments used and the vocals are perfect; I only wish the run-time was longer. However, the little ones seem to fall asleep quickly while listening, so I guess the experts know more than me when it comes to song length! I can very easily say that I'd buy this CD for my own music collection.

It would be a welcome addition to any child's sleep routine.

My 8 year old granddaughter has loved this lullaby CD since birth and we finally had to replace it! Also a favorite for my 3 year old granddaughter who sings along and fast becoming a favorite for my 9 month old granddaughter as well. It has beautiful versions of childhood lullabies from around the world sung by Hap Palmer!
