I purchased this title as a vinyl album when it was originally released around 1966, and eagerly bought it once again shortly after it was re-released as a CD several years ago. It has always been one of my favorite Crusader albums. It combines the funky sound the Crusaders are known for along with Latin rhythms and percussion.

Very happy to have this cd back out again. I've heard a few other Jazz Crusaders albums but this one hits a mid-60s sweet spot of latin soul jazz. Wilton Felder's solos are especially cool. Just listen to "Soul Bourgeoisie" and decide for yourself!
