The Sardinians can pull noodles!,
By Cleo (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations Volume 7 (Amazon Instant Video)
They also split their papadum-ish flatbreads open after they puff up! In addition to Brittany, Sardinia also does something haggis-like with a sheep's stomach. To my mind, Sardinia seems too small and too specific and too private to be a tourist destination but the No Reservations episode made everything look worth eating. Some more famous destinations of the show haven't looked as worth visiting as Sardinia nor as worth studying for its history. The Sardinia episode seemed to be a taste to tempt you to search further. Sadly, it also reminds me that you gotta have family to appreciate a culture so as an outsider, I have to respect the pride of the family.
