5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! The Best Olive Oil We've Tasted, March 6, 2011
This review is from: Chilean Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil From San Pietro, 16.9 Ounces (Misc.)
My wife and I find San Pietro 100% Organic Extra Virgin olive oil the best we've tasted.
We're not olive oil snobs by a long shot and usually buy good quality EVOO in bulk. We use a lot of it, it tastes OK, and it fits our budget.
Then one day while shopping at Big Lots, we found a small quantity of San Pietro EVOO in the food aisle and decided to treat ourselves to something special.
Well let me tell you, we were knocked out by the flavor - it's incredible! The difference between that which we've been using and San Pietro EVOO is like comparing hamburger meat to fillet mignon. Our taste buds have been hopelessly corrupted(in a good way).
We were so impressed we hurried back to Big Lots and bought all of the remaining bottles.
Our wonderful nectar is currently stored in a cool, dark place, and we plan to use it only on special occasions when only the best will do.
I only hope we have enough will power to stick to the plan...

5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite olive oil, July 22, 2009
This review is from: Chilean Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil From San Pietro, 16.9 Ounces (Misc.)
This is my favorite olive oil for salads because it makes the salad taste more nuanced -- the flavor is gentle and a bit fruity. Whenever I share this with someone they always want to buy some. I first discovered this oil at Whole Foods but then they stopped carrying it, so I go out of my way to order it. The oil has also won several prizes.
