2.0 out of 5 stars If you've read one that's enough"! February 4, 2013

All these are the same story line and one is enough! I was sorry I bought another. Choose some other book!

3.0 out of 5 stars It's OK February 12, 2013

Although this sounded like a great cozy mystery, it took me forever to finish! I will not give up on this author or this series yet, but hopefully the second book will be better.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good little read February 7, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is another quick and "fun" little mystery by this author. I like the characters in this series better than the donut shop series.

I would recommend this to someone looking for some light sleuthing. Literary art it ain't, but it is entertaining.

1.0 out of 5 stars Really bad November 1, 2013
By Vanessa
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It was a struggle to maintain enough interest in this book to bother finishing it. The characters were cardboard, the dialogue unrealistic and stilted, the plot threadbare and full of holes ..... it was just really bad. I hope it improved through the rest of the series but I won't be bothering to find out.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's okay December 27, 2012

This was my first time to read one of the classic diner series and it was okay. I really enjoy the Donut Shop series, though.

2.0 out of 5 stars not a great read May 3, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I enjoy well crafted mysteries with good character development and an engaging plot. This fell well short of the mark and was disappointing to me. The main character, Victoria, came off as smug and I found the dialog trite and predictable. I don't like being negative but this was just not well written to me. I could say more but . . .

2.0 out of 5 stars Not particularly well written. March 20, 2013

It was a tolerable book, have no interest in reading anything else from this author. Other books with similar themes have been better written.
