A very useful and very large amount of good chili recipes - however there is no fun filler, no stories about Spain, etc. Sometimes I find it more fun to read the history of peppers than only recipes.

Chili is a winner in our house! One of the best recipe books I have on Chile - I picked up a couple of Chili recipe books recently on Amazon, and I am quite impressed with this one too. This is full of great recipes that will give you years worth of meals.
Its clear, to the point and just plain full of tremendous meals that you and your family will enjoy for years and years. There are over 300 different chili dishes, and that does not include the ideas you will get for experimenting and creating your own. That is one side benefit to this book, and other books that are filled with various ways to make one dish, is the fact that they will give you so many ideas to create different flavors, in not just chili, but in other meals, that it makes having this book a great resource. So, bottom line, if you just want lots and lots of different GREAT chili's this is a great book, - OR if you like to experiment and invent your own meals, this book will offer you great new ideas on how to create one taste after another. Either way, its a great deal!

Hot and fun book! If you only want many, many chili recipes, this is the book, if you what lots of extras about the history of chili, and its influence in our lives, this is not the book for you.
