I have Multiple Sclerosis and get over heated very easily. The Chillow has been a life saver during the summers in the Southern US!. I have about four of them and have had them for about three to four years. They are just now getting to where the plastic covering is getting stiff and has cracked on a couple of Chillows leaving me with two that still work. I have used all four very heavily during their lifespan. My husband has been know to use them to go to sleep when he's hot. My mother and father both fell in love with the ones that were in my living room. Yes, they do got hot over time (they stay cool for up to an hour). That's why I have multiple ones. The Chillow is a simple heat sink. They absorb your heat, thereby cooling you! Because they absorb your heat they do warm up. For extra cooling I place them in the refrigerator for about fifteen minutes occasionally, though this is not often needed. You do have to pay attention to keeping the inner pad straight but if it does get out of wack it is very possible, though aggravating, to get it back in position. This is by far the best cooling "gadget" that I have bought for my illness. I have spent hundreds of dollars on other cooling products but this one works the best for simply chilling. I strongly recommend it to anyone with chronic pain or swelling that reacts well to cold on a regular basis and to anyone with Multiple Sclerosis having problems with overheating and to anyone having hot flashes.

Seemed like a good idea for a friend with a sore neck, however he said it was too flat and firm. It was easy to set up just not too uncofortable to use

I was skeptical but this thing helps me sleep so much better! Yes, I am a 50-something woman who gets very warm at night. Took a little practice to fill it/get the air out correctly but am so glad I stuck with it!

Inside came apart after one week....pillow does not stay cool for very long....very heavy....strong plastic smells...this thing is cheaply made.
It was nice for the 1st couple nights, after that the liner inside came apart from the outer layer. I'm glad they threw in an extra, but I doubt it will last!

I use a king size pillow and with the Chillow it adds additional weight. It makes the pillow very heavy. I really don't think I like it.
