OK -- so its not going to win an oscar. Its corney, predictable and the effects are low tech. In spite of all that I like it. The actors are good (considering the script), the sound track is very good (though you won't find any chartbusters on it)and there is a load of subtle as well as in-your-face slap stick comedy. Seeing it once will not be enough to pick up on all the little touches in this movie. Overall its a great movie when you want something relaxing, simple and funny.

You have to watch this movie for what it is....the punch
lines are silly and the acting is over done, but it is entertaining
in it's own way. The scenery is worth watching the movie and the
dogs are wonderful!!!!!
Don't take life too serious and certainly don't judge this movie
too serious!!!!

Some slapstick, some comedy, some tragedy, some romance. Simple and entertaining. Its potential was not realized but it beats some mindless sitcom (or reality show) on TV.

It was a older version of the movie Snow Dogs but was a very funny movie.

This is a strange movie, one of those that my husband used to suggest meant they had too much film and needed to use it up before it spoiled. Truth is it isn't all that bad, one just wonders why the people in it decided to accept the offer to make such a movie. I have never seen Nielsen do so poorly in a comedy role. And Skeet, who I love and follow, had good lines 50% of the time ruined by a ten year old's idea of comedy -- bathroom humor (NOT) the other 50% of the time. I just am not into rolls of toilet paper and the reason for them being funny. Ignoring that 50% of the film, Natasha T. Henstridge and Skeet make the movie enjoyable, the dogs are fun, Skeet and Natasha are really good to look at, and the idea of them with a baby in the end is the icing on the snow. With some negatives, it still had more positives and I had fun watching it. I regret that I bought the film from iTunes and am stuck with it forever on my iTouch rather than on a DVD. I won't make that mistake again.

This movie cracked me up.I know i've watched it prolly 5 times already. It has a good plot an has very funny scenes in it.Altho Skeet Ulrich acts dumb at times he still is hilrious. i recommend this movie to been seen..TY Lisa.

I tried watching this film because I am a diehard Leslie Nielsen fan, long having been a fan of "Airplane" and "The Naked Gun" movies.

This effort, however, was rather disappointing. Most of the comic moments are rather boring and predictable, and aside from the initial appearance of the mixed breed sled dog team and the "bouncing bullet" spoof at the end (the only bits that kept me from giving it only one star), I barely even chuckled.

There is none of the laugh-out-loud schtick one typically expects in Nielsen films. The fact that he had to play the villain in this one accounts for part of that, and his stereotypical gay and dumb British sidekick fails miserably in complementing his character.

Sure, there's romance and a little farcical tragedy typical of these films, but the plot is scattered and too many bits just don't make sense. The main guy Kevin Manley, an overworked travel agent looking for a little excitement, by his words never took a single vacation in his life, yet still has a thousand dollars to offer to learn the fundamentals of sled dog racing, plus even more money to initially purchase fancy equipment and real sled dogs.

If you're a Nielsen fan, this might be worth a rent to watch once just to see him in a different type of role. If you're looking for something entertaining, this film is a flop. I don't recommend it.

I bought this movie thinking it might be slightly entertaining, unfortunately I was wrong, very wrong. This has to be one of the stupidest movies I have seen in a long time, the parts of the movie that were meant to be funny were boring and just ridiculous.I would NOT recommend this movie, you would be better off doing something more useful with your time. I have seen Ulrich,Nielsen & Henstridge in much better moves than this.

Ok, Slapstick comedy....bathroom humor.....poodles et all for dogsled team....a little romance.....and Leslie Nielson from Mr. Magoo and Naked Gun series.... funny(but suggest you rent and not own...once u see it, you,ve seen all!)

Basically I only recommend this movie if you are a HUGE fan of Rik Mayall. He made this movie, and the scenes he's not in are almost not worth watching at all! Skeet Ulrich is a good actor, but this movie is almost an insult to his skill. As for Leslie Nelson, this is not a Naked Gun like movie for him, he does not come off as funny as he would normally. Although at first it seems to start heading that way but stops as if hitting a wall.
