Chilton general repair manuals are just that, general. Having said that, other than purchasing individual repair manuals for each model covered (a huge number), this manual and these types of manuals, are very good. If you own a car which this manual covers, you should consider purchasing a specific repair manual which covers your automobile. You will get far more information and coverage for all the systems. I speak of the Haynes or Chilton manuals, here. If you want very specific coverage then the factory manuals are really the only option, however, they are really expensive in comparison to the Haynes or Chiltons. On the other hand, if you service the vehicles which this manual covers, it will be invaluable to common service items and gives good coverage for specifications, sizes, and reference pictures. This is the Professional edition but I find it hard to see any difference in the information contained (verses the standard non-professional edition). It is printed, however, on better glossy paper which makes the pictures easier to see and the pages will last longer, I suspect.
