This well priced thermometer is accurate and easy to read because of the background color. I peek out the window and see if all is well which saves me a lot of time. I smoke meats for a very long time 10-12 hours so it really does make a difference.

The item arrived very quickly. When I opened the box there was nothing in the box except the thermometer. No manufacturer information or instructions; no commercial packaging. Nothing.

The device itself was simple to install (despite lack of instructions or suggestions). I fired up the BBQ and the thermometer registered heat. The thermometer was easy to read and uncomplicated.

I quickly suspected I was getting inaccurate readings, so I obtained a second thermometer designed to be used in an oven. With this unit telling me the BBQ interior was at 475+, the other thermometer was telling me around 325 degrees. As I was trying to roast a chicken with indirect heat, I was hoping for the lower temperature (I had only one of two propane burners going, and it was set at a medium heat setting). The cooking time and results for the chicken were consistent with a 300-350 degree oven. This thermometer continued to read at 475+.

My conclusion is it seems to be wildly inaccurate, at least mine was. I gave it two stars because it seems to be made of quality materials, it is easy to install and easy to read. The fact I can't trust it really kind of detracts from my satisfaction level. I could not detect any way to adjust the thermometer.

I do note other buyers did not report this problem, so maybe it was just my unit. One note on installation: the probe sticks into the BBQ about 2.5 inches. Think about where you will set things in your BBQ and how the probe might interfere with items inside the BBQ.

Works great! Installed in my Weber 200 and takes the guesswork out of grilling temperatures. Drill one small hole, and you are done. Was hesitant, but glad i did.

This was exactly what we were looking for. We bought 2 so that we could install them in a couple of barbecues that we had already purchased. It was a simple matter to drill a small hole in the lid of the barbecue, and attach the thermometer with a nut on the back. The colored dial makes it easy to tell at a glance if the barbecue is preheated and ready to cook--and it makes it easy to maintain a steady heat for roasting. Seller shipped very quickly.

easy to install. tells you the temperature you are cooking to the degree. All you have to do is adjust the air flow.

This is a replacement for a Weber grill. It is very reliable and does just what it is supposed to. Less money than the Weber replacement too

Good product, easy to install and works as described. My Electric smoker had no thermometer so when using, no idea what temperature was in smoker. This product did the job nicely!

it was broken when i got it. my wife bought me one two month ago i like it very good

Had an issue getting it delivered when promised, I called and they sent another. One arrived a week later and another a week after that, so now I have 2.

One of the thermometers is water tight but the other filled with water during the first rain. It seems to work OK, but with so much condensation inside it looks bad. I guess you get what you pay for.

I bought this Thermometer to use with my electric Meco Smoker Cooker. It is spot on! With out it you have no real way of knowing what the actual temperature of the smoker is. Highly recommend this product.
