About the Author
Henning Melber is Executive Director of the Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation. He was Research Director of the Nordic Africa Institute and co-ordinator of the project “Liberation and Democracy in Southern Africa” (2000–2006) and Director of the Namibian Economic Policy Research Unit (NEPRU) in Windhoek (1992–2000).
Margaret C. Lee is Associate Professor of African Studies in the Department of African and Afro American Studies, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a member of a research project on “The New Scramble for Africa”, jointly undertaken by the Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation, the Nordic Africa Institute and the Institute for Strategic Studies.
