I went to see this movie with a friend right after it opened. The movie went away as quickly as it came out and many people never got to see it. They ( really ) missed a good one. A true story of the strength and faith that many women have and don't realize it until it is tested. This Chinese women ( who could be anyone of us ) is tested to the limits, even through her pregnancies. My favorite part is seeing the Communist commander continue to try and break her even to the point of putting her before a firing squad.......A supernatural event brings her ordeal to an end. She envisioned a life in America with her and her family and she holds to this vision. Heartbreaking, heartwarming. I was truly inspired. I'll never forget it....a Titanic tension with the fact you go home knowing it was all true.

This story is amazing. I am blood-related to Nora Lam [the basis of the story] though I cannot go into detail of our relation due to privacy policies. I hear many of Nora's life stories from my parents and relatives, and seeing the movie was such an inspiration. The story brings her story back to life again and I feel as if I were struggling with her in the movie. After seeing this movie, you build a sense of compassion for yourself and you gain more strength to leading yourself. The inspiration of religion helps the viewer recognize the importance of religion. You will have finished this movie with a new perspective of life and of life in China.

China Cry is an incredible story of how a young woman comes to know God through torture. God saves her life many times, and He speaks to her, giving this woman hope, courage, and a will to serve Him. All of these things help her believe in His promises, and give her the faith to keep going and escape from communist China. This amazingly true and moving story is one that I would personally recommend to anyone.
