I've been using this gel for a few years and find it especially comforting in the evenings before bedtime. I personally think it's a good remedy for sore muscles and arthritis. I have a disk problem that gives me quite a bit of discomfort during the night-time hours, and I like this product for muscle soreness and overall general discomfort related to back pain. An added bonus is that an 8oz jar lasts a long time!

I've had a mild chronic back pain accompanied by the occasional neck and shoulder stress for many years now. After suffering an uncomfortable flight from Seattle to D.C. last May, the friend we were staying with slapped some of this China-gel on my neck and back. In the heat of the moment, I turned to the computer and ordered some!

Now I gave this review a 3 simply because it's a great topical pain killer but definitely not a solution to pain - more of leisurely pleasure than an actual pain killer.

The gel goes on somewhat thick and oily, and takes a bit to rub it in. Once it's there though, it seems to be good for about a half hour or more until it starts to subside and wear off. During the "active" stage though, it feels to me to have a sort of "pins and needles" touch (similar to an arm or leg that's "asleep").

Good stuff for the occasional relaxation, or perhaps recreational use, but I don't think I'd recommend this for the serious pain relief.

A freind informed me of this Gel and I have terrible arthritis. It worked for awhile, but as all things the body got used to it and became non-effective. Wife still uses it with her minor aches. For the price, it was too much.
