A Great Friend and Teacher,

Having had the great honnour and esteamed priviledge of have Professor Jonathan Goldstein teach me History at Nasson College, this book is one of his greatest works of all-time. I read his first book Philadelphia and the China Trade 1682-1846 and thought that this book was a knockout, I was dead wrong. China and Isreal 1948-1998 is really outstanding. I feel that the next book written by Dr.Goldstein will be a best seller. I truly think he he best in Asian History and I will always continue to ask him challening questions about China. I want to learn more about this great nation and I want to be able to teach it to my students as well.
