This book is no longer in print and is supposed to be the epitome of expertise on the subject. I wasn't all that impressed with it because all the authors do is run down all the categories of banding on clay marbles. Incidently, they were made in Germany not China. That's just an appellation. It's a shame that it went out of print because there is so little printed material on the subject. I think the reason it did falter is that the subject is not all that complicated. Anyone could figure these types out, but still there is a lot of valuable background material between the covers. This book would be a must for any marble collector. Their book on Colonial clay marbles is even better and more impossible to find.
