Have Fun with Fun,

This review is from: Fun With Chinese Characters (Paperback)
"Fun with Chinese Characters" is a charming and educational book. The first of three in a series, each page contains a cartoon of a traditional (not simplified) character based on a story of its origin. I say "a" story, and not "the" because the author prefers interesting and memorable stories to better researched theories of a character's origin. Hurrah for that! The purpose of the book is not linguistic research. It is to help teach characters with charm and humor. Begining Chinese students will have fun and learn something too.
