From the title of the book, I thought it was going to offer some profound insights on the Chinese art scene/market. But what the author actually did was just recounting many of the known facts about contemporary Chinese art (read the table of contents, and you've read the book). "Chinese Contemporary Art 7 Things You "Already" Know" would be a more appropriate title. That said, readers with little knowledge about China could learn a thing or two from it, but for others, little.
