Although children of young ages tend to learn a second language in more natural and efficient way, they are usually fascinated by the impact of the foreign culture. As we are now living in a country with diverse ethnic groups, the purpose of this book is to provide the basic knowledge of Chinese culture on the topics that are familiar to our readers. Teaching young children about cultures other than their own will foster enthusiasm of learning, open their eyes to cultural differences and promote respect, caring, tolerance and understanding of another culture. The book is written in simple sentences both in English and Chinese in order to accommodate the readers' diverse abilities.
