4.0 out of 5 stars Very Pretty Boot
TRUST ME BOOT
This "Trust me" boot is lined with a thin foam-type material that keeps the shaft slightly more rigid. It is a very pretty boot (I got the grey color). The suede is smooth and without flaws and the (functional) snaps are a polished silver look. It runs at least a half-size small. 4.0 out of 5 stars Very Pretty Boot, October 11, 2009

The sole is very thin so I tried on a FULL size larger and had enough room to put an insole in it. I bought both this boot and the "tripin over the knee" boot by Chinese Laundry. I am keeping this one and returning the "tripin" boot. The "trust me" boot seems to be a much better quality because of the lining. I am very tall (5'-9") and this boot comes just to the midpoint of my knee-cap. On an average person, I am assuming it would be a true OTK boot. Looks great with leggings, skirts, or over skinny jeans. It's a little tough to put on over jeans because there is no zipper. The shaft height on a size 9 1/2 is 22 1/2". At the widest point (the top), the inside circumference is just over 16". You can wear this boot slightly slouchy, all the way up, or you can un-snap and fold over the top. I would have given it 5 stars if it came with ANY kind of cushion, but just add an insole and it is then 5 stars.

TRIPIN OVER THE KNEE BOOT
Chinese Laundry also makes a very similar boot called "Tripin over the knee" boot. The other (Tripin) boot is NOT lined and therefore slouches down because it is just one layer of suede and has no lining. The Tripin boot has matching snaps (same color as the boot). The tripin boot is the one I returned.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Boot Pratically live in them, November 8, 2009

Just got these boots about 2 weeks ago in the gray suede, and I Absolutlely love them. I read many reviews about the fact that since it is a flat boot that there is not much arch support, which is true, however there is a quick and inexpensive remedy to this shoe insoles. The boots look great with everything (jeans, leggings, short dresses/tunics, etc.)they instantly transform plain outfits like jearns and a white t-shirt to a stylish look. Another not quite issue is that if you are tall like me (5'9") then they are not over the knee but rather mid-to-under-the-knee. Recommend them gray goes with so many things. Love Chinese Laundry boots have the turbo in black leather and adore them as well.

4.0 out of 5 stars fun to wear, delicate swede, no arch support, April 13, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Was glad I had read previous reviews of this boot.
Ordering one size larger than u usually wear was good advice.
Also glad to know, prior to arrival, that boot offers little to no arch support or underneath traction, but first problem is easily remedied with insoles.
Boots look fantastic! I enjoy the option of wearing boots snapped up over the knee, or unsnapped folded down. Note - swede is thin and delicate on these boots. Good idea to spray some water protectant on the toes and heal. Boots wear very well with leggings, but don't expect to be able to tuck regular (non skinny) jeans into these boots.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome boots!, March 5, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
For the price that I paid here, I was actually expecting something to be wrong with it.... minor scruffs, crooked stitching... something! But they were actually perfect! The fit was just right, but that was because I ordered a half size up (I'm usually a 6.5) so they fit me. And this is coming from someone with athletic calves. I usually have problems fitting into boots, but because of the material I'm sure, I fit into them perfectly :) I'm so glad I bought these.

This review is from: Chinese Laundry Women's Trust Me Suede Flat Boot (Apparel)
sooo i have had these boots for about a year and a half. and the material is clearly cheap. it is ripped in areas. man i knew the material was cheap right outta the box, but i wanted the boot bc i was going away on a trip. they were nice for about the first 6 months, but they slide down a lot and they are kinda plain. gossh i sound so negative. but, splurge on something better made than these and you'll be glad you did! they run true to size, the gray is dark like an ash gray, and if you want some cheap suede boots that will last you about a year, then go for it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cute but not great quality, January 17, 2011
These boots are cute and they stay up over the knee well. They are just not the best quality. you can see where they have glued them together and stuff. Also I am 5'8" and they seem to hit in the middle of my knee cap and not quite over the knee. But they are a great buy for 80 bucks or so.

These boots are a very pretty color of silver gery. They fit true to size and are very comforable. Don't forget to put some protectant on them for the wet weather.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great over the knee boot!!!!, November 13, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I really love these boots. They're awesome. They are a nice black, suede when you see them in person. People always compliment me on them. They look good with leggings or jeans. I even wear my regualar jeans with them not just my skinny legs! If you want a little cushion you should get some insoles though because if you have them on for over a couple of hours they can become uncomfortable. I definitely recommend and the price isn't even that bad for a boot.

3.0 out of 5 stars An "OK" boots, September 28, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Before I bought this boots I read the reviews and was prepared getting insoles for the "no support" part. But what I was not prepared for was the suede quality! I mean I know for that price I shouldn't expect much... but 1- the glue between the sole and the leather showed, and 2- the suede came in scratched in all the places that show! I would have definitely exchanged it back if I weren't living outside the US. My only hope now is that the suede spray will cover up a bit. Which is why I gave it a rating of 3... the boots looks nice when you wear it :) So all in all, it's "OK"!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected, April 23, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These boots look like they would be fitted and they are not. My leg/knee looked like a single pencil in a pencil cup. I even took to a friends house to get a second opinion and she was like ewww no. All the other boots I have gotten recently fit perfect, these are huge around your leg =/
