This is a good book to help a student with some knowledge of Chinese to improve on his or her vocabulary and reading ability. The stories are interesting, and give the reader some insight into Chinese history and culture as well. This is not a book for raw beginners, but will help the student with some Chinese language ability. The book contains both traditional and simplified characters, which about doubles its usefulness. I recommend it.
