Wonderful images
This catalogue of the Indian painted and resist-dyed cotton textiles from the V&A collection is a great source of basic factual information about these wonderful fabrics made for export to Europe and South-East Asia. Moreover, it is accompanied by a wealth of beautiful images containing wonderful overall views of fabrics as well as detailed images of individual pieces...

poor colour reproduction
Could have been a glorious book but let down by the colour reproductions.I have seen many of these fabrics and quilts and the book does not do them justice.

This catalogue of the Indian painted and resist-dyed cotton textiles from the V&A collection is a great source of basic factual information about these wonderful fabrics made for export to Europe and South-East Asia. Moreover, it is accompanied by a wealth of beautiful images containing wonderful overall views of fabrics as well as detailed images of individual pieces. For easy reference, all images have short captions whose more detailed versions are represented by the catalogue entries preceding the illustrated section of the catalogue.
