It is certainly good to know that after all these many years Alvin still wants a hula-hoop for Christmas. Granted, listening to the Chipmunks sing ANYTHING is something of an acquired taste. I still listen to the Chipmunks cover the early hits of the Beatles, but there is also something to be said for putting on this CD of the "Chipmunks' Greatest Christmas Hits" during the holidays, especially this year when the semester is ending the weekend before Christmas. When the final days of shopping and everything get more and more frantic, listening to these songs can puts things back in perspective. After all, the Chipmunks are simply normal recordings speeded up (in the "old days," with reel to reel tapes you could make your own "Chipmunk" recordings). So, if you do not find this sort of music the equivalent of fingernails on a blackboard, you can certainly find some infectious holiday tunes here. Of course there is "The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don't Be Late)," Alvin and the boys struggle to make it all the way through "The Twelve Days of Christmas," and Rudolph makes a guest appearance on "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer." For that matter, David Seville does a nice job on a poignant version of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas." You will not find Christmas hymns in this collection, because even the Chipmunks knew were to draw the line. With 17 tracks this is a great album for kids, or for those who remember these songs from when they were kids, which puts "Chipmunks Greatest Christmas Hits" squarely in the realm of the nostalgic, right where it belongs.

Whoa! I've been looking for this album forever! My sister and I grew up listening to these songs every Christmas season. Alas, we lost the tape when we moved :( I'm sooo glad this still exists! Now I can enjoy listening to Alvin & friends with my two sons. I'm sure they'll enjoy it too!

This has to be one of the all time greatest Christmas albums recorded for children and adults. The selection of songs are Christmas favorites. This music is fun for the family to sing along with when putting up your Christmas tree, sitting around with the family, trying to put your baby to sleep or listening to it really loud on your way to work. I've had this album since I was 5 years old, now I'm 38 and I enjoy it as much as ever. It always brings back wonderful memories of my childhood and I know it will create new wonderful memories for my daughter Amanda, who is only 5 weeks old, memories she'll remember 30 years from now. Buy the Chipmonks Christmas Album and let your children have wonderful lifelong memories like I have.

When I was younger my mother got me a tape, this tape actullay. I listened to it on end, thru june. Then the tape got lost mysteriously. So now at thirteen I love this tape still and plan on giving it to my baby brother for Christmas, so he can get in the holiday spirit like I did.

I had a Chipmunks Christmas tape when I was a little girl and loved it. It was my favorite Christmas music. Everyone loves the Chipmunks whether you are five years old or fifty-five years old. I know I do. I lost my Chipmunks tape two years ago and have been looking for a replacement ever since. I am thrilled that I have found it here. Now my Christmas will be complete!

Like many, I grew up listening to the Chipmunks on my record player. I love this sucker. Alvin and Theodore are great and I miss their cartoons.

The Christmas songs in this collection are exactly as I remember them. I bought this CD to share with my 2 young daughters. It makes such a nice change from all the Christmas collections that have been recently released by the current generation of singers, and which I also own and enjoy.

this cd is sooooooo great. i mean it brings joy and happiness to all the people who listen to it. they also sing so cute. alsmost all of the songs i know so its easy to sing along

I listened to these songs as a child growing up. It is really fortunate that they repackaged them on a CD, as I look forward to my son growing up with them as well.
