Extremely basic and hardly worth the money,

This guide is reasonably organized and put together, but overall just too basic. For providers with absolutely no experience in billing and no time on their hands, this may be appropriate. However, most of this information can easily be found online. I was hoping to have a lot more in depth discussion of the billing process and available resources. As it stands, this guide just provides a cursory look at this process and a huge portion of the book is simply a reprint of ICD-9 codes (which can be found in the DSM you probably already own). Unless you're absolutely desperate, use your money to take a private-pratitioner in your area out to lunch and get the answers from them.

I was disappointed with this book. I had thought it would give me more information about how to fill out a HIPPA 1500 form to bill insurance companies. It didn't have anything about CPT codes and a lot of pages were lists of diagnosis categories about diagnosis that I could have gotten from my DSM IV R. I wanted more details about billing but was left hungry.
