First off, like many people my age, I loved this movie. I had the Corgi version of the car as well as the old model (Aurora?) neither of which survived to my adulthood. I was so excited when my kids fell for this movie as well, particularly the recent obsession of my 5-year-old girl, for whom I originally intended this purchase.

The toy looks fantastic, the coloring is spot on. The paint on the headlights, frosting them, could have been applied a bit more completely but this is nit-picking. The car itself looks great. It isn't, however, a toy. It should be considered a pre-assembled model due to the fragility of the chrome plastic pieces. As someone else here has noted, they wouldn't last long during play. This meant that the car became mine instead of my daughters and now resides on a high shelf on display. This is good for me, but bad for her.

My only other complaint, and it's fairly minor, is the lack of the helecoptor type blades on the wings. My old model had them and they constantly broke, so I understand the omission....but for my display it would've added to the accuracy of the piece and I wish they'd included them as an option.

If you like this movie or like collecting models of famous vehicles, don't hesitate, it's a very nice piece. I don't have any of the action figures that fit it (yet) so I can't comment on their fit or scale.

i would just like to let people know that this is a beautiful model of the magical car CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG. its not a toy, it is a model for the adult collector. this is not a toy to be played with its delicate and should be placed somewhere where it can be viewed and admire. i hope this is helpful.

This is not for kids. Others have said it but if you think "Oh it will be fun!" Trust me this thing is not for kids. The plastic is very weak and the parts break off easily. In fact, one of the lights was broken off in the box before it was open. They are very hard to put back on too. Also the paint on some of the parts was so weak/cheap that it came off on contact with your fingers. A very beautiful toy, one for the shelf but not the tikes.

Makes you wonder if it was made in Vulgaria....
