Low quality paper and plastic case doubles as the background and base for the storage/runway piece. The runway piece is very difficult to snap on, and the Chixos are either to tight or to loose, so they fall off or get stuck on the runway. The Pixo purses and dogs are a joke- they look awful when put together. The whole thing falls apart when you try to play with it. We put it together once and my 8-yr old definitely needed my help because the pieces don't fit together well. She does still play with the Chixos though. I bought it for her about 3 months ago and she hasn't played with the runway since. I think it's worth about three b-ucks. We do love pixos... but this runway does not live up to expectations.

The chixos runway is a horrible product. The directions say you have to wait 30 min. to let your designs dry, which is bad enough . When you check them they are not dry. It took 24hrs. to dry. By this time my daughter was disappointed but still wanted to play with it. Then she picked them up, as soon as you handled them they fell apart.
My daughter was VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!! This toy was at the top of her christmas list she wanted it so bad. Now I have to return it. My daughter was heart broken....

My little girl (age 4) desperately wanted this after seeing the commercials. I found it on a HUGE discount (more than 80% off). Because of that, it was worth it.

My daughter already has a Pixo machine, so she knew how to use this. The runway is pretty cheap and won't hold up well. The Pixo balls are like any other Pixo product, so you can be the judge on that.

We found one thing that helps. After my daughter sets up the beads/balls in the pattern she wants, we spray it and leave it untouched for hours (not the 15-30 minutes that it recommends). Then we flip it over, spray it again, and let it sit for a few more hours. After that, it's very durable.

It's really hard for a four year old to be patient that long, so that's a minus.
