Warm and fuzzy reading,
By "jodieb60" (Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Chloe (Hardcover)
Initially I found myself irritated by the style of writing and was preparing to be less than impressed with the whole book, however as I went on I found it harder and harder to put down. Sure the story was incredibly predictable, however that was one of the best features. You will be continuously trying to work out how and when the characters were going to get to that obvious fate and enjoy the journey along the way. It was a lovely feel-good book and it's easy to warm to the characters involved. Definitely a book for girls who want some warm and fuzzy romantic reading, just try to ignore some of the annoying narrative comments thrown in around the beginning!(I'd give this 3 and a half stars if I had the option)

Girl's Dream,
By A Customer
This review is from: Chloe (Paperback)
I thought this book was romantic, ludicrous and adventurous. If you love fate and love it is brilliant. It gives you a sense of life and breathes a fresh burst of vitality into a good fate ending story. Every girls dream book. A must read.

Dull, Boring and Corny,
This review is from: Chloe (Paperback)
I have read so many British (and some American) chicklits in the past 4 years I think I am qualified to voice my comments here. If you are looking for a contemporary author such as Sophie Kinsella, Louise Bagshawe Isabel Wolfe, Helen Dunne,or Clare Naylor, then don't even attempt to open this book. This is NOT a chicklit. I highly doubt people talk or think like Chloe anymore. (Also does she have any friends of her own age?) The style of writing, the pace and the characters just remind me of the turn of the century, and I don't mean the new millennium. I can only picture an old maid librarian writing a fantasy story like this. It is un-realistic and trite. It should really be sent back to the time-tunnel.
