I use the generic form of this for my seasonal allergies, and it seems to work pretty well. Less itching and watering of my eyes, less runny nose, etc... At about 10 cents per pill, it's pretty economical too.

I was disappointed to find out that Chlor-Trimeton 12 hour has been reformulated to include lactose as an inactive ingredient (a potential problem for those with both allergies and lactose-intolerance). Only the 4 hour pills used to contain lactose.

On the other hand, I've found that the active ingredient (chlorpheniramine) is the most effective option for my allergies. It shows that an old reliable drug can sometimes be better than the new ones that get all the advertising push.
