Okay, I cheated and opened some of the windows a bit early. The milk chocolate really is good, and there's plenty of chocolate for each day. If you're interested for the Nativity story, this Advent calendar is all but unique because it features bible verses that are written clearly in English (from my experience, other Advent calendars often feature bible verses that are poorly translated into English, or don't feature any story at all). As a longtime fan of Advent calendars, this chocolate Advent calendar definitely delivers as a gift for family and friends, young and old. That said, I'm really here now to buy a few more before Dec. 1.

I got this for my 2-year-old grandson and he loved it. He asked for his Advent candy each morning. He is too young to understand the verses but it was still a good way to introduce him to Advent, with a little daily treat and the nativity picture. I liked that this item uses good quality chocolate in a size that is large enough to enjoy, but doesn't overdose the child on candy. Someone mentioned that they'd rather have a variety of candy, but the lack of variety was fine for a child, and it would have been fine for me too because I love chocolate, just as it is.

Would have been nice to have some variety to the chocolate inside (all the same)nothing exciting about opening each day.
