I bought two different chocolate advent calendars for my kids (this one and one from Pea). My daughter LOVES the individually wrapped chocolates, while my son is disappointed with his tiny molded chocolates in the Pea advent calendar. We now have to share: she gets the wrapped candy on even days, my son gets them on odd days. Glad we only have 24 days to fight over this... Next year, they both get Madelaine!

I bought this for my son this last Christmas. He loved it. The chocolate was good and he liked the variety of shapes. The only problem I had with it was the chocolates were hard to get out sometimes, the cut outs were small and he would get frustrated or the paper would rip. In all though, it was a great buy. Will get again next year!

This is MUCH better than the cheap advent calendars at various stores. The chocolates in this item are actually excellent and individually wrapped plus are significant in weight so it is an actual treat. Double the price for this is a bargain since the weight of chocolate alone is about triple the lower-priced varieties and the quality is 10x. Double the price for 3-times the quantity and 10-times the quality: good deal.

Ordered this for December 2011. So far (one week in) the calendar is great. Many advent calendars have small, kind of flavorless cheap chocolate - this is not the case here. This is a really nice calendar. Each days chocolate is a good size (and some are a very good size) and all have a nice Christmas theme e.g. chocolates wrapped up like Santa actually look like Santa. Something to look forward to each December morning leading up to the holidays!
